Chaka Khan

Chaka who is also known as Queen of Funk as she is also known is an American music producer. Her career has been spanning more than five decades, she has had a total record of ten Grammys. Billboard Magazine has ranked her 65th among the top dance artist in history. Born in Chicago, Illinois and introduced to jazz at a young stage by her maternal grandmother. Early in her career, she was a member of diverse bands. As time went on, she became a member of the group Rufus. The album she released was her debut in the band around the age of 20. The group was awarded their first Grammy prize a year later. She released her self-titled debut album a few years after her debut solo album. Her subsequent releases included a variety of albums in the past, like 'Echoes from an Era", 'The Women I Am' and "Funk This.". In addition to her musical contributions, her charitable work has brought her lots of recognition. She established The Chaka Khan Foundation to help kids from families with low incomes, and also people with autism. Khan is also an actor occasionally. She played the sister of Carrie as well as the lead actress in "Mama I'm Wanting to Sing." Chaka Chaka Chaka
