Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from an ethnically diverse family in South London in England. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss and her mother is English. She was born on the South London council estate, as a teenager, she 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She attended an academy called the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained a BA in acting. As a student at the academy and performing in numerous stage plays, including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career through the movie Storm Damage. In the years since she has appeared in Teachers as well as Doctors. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the character of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. In the following year she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. In 2008, she had the opportunity to play the part of Bambi in The ITV2 show drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in series two and three. Madekwe was a part of the comedy How to Lose Friends and Alienate people (2008). She also appeared as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe made her official US debut on the drama The Beautiful Life, which just aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge in February of 2011. Madekwe's exit from the series was officially announced in May of 2013. After two years as a main character, she made a guest performance in the first episode of season 3. From 2014 until the year 2016, she appeared on Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe, her longtime partner, Iddo, married Madekwe in June 2012. The two have collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he has also appeared alongside Madekwe on the TV show Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by a big family. She was born to Roy and Patty Leggat. She was raised by both parents Roy and Patty together with four of their older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey in the winter and summer months. She grew up in the arenas and baseball. Ashley could never walk, however she did dance. As she was two and a half, she started Baby Ballet and fell in with. Ashley fell in love with dancing at the age of. Ashley continued to dance competitively through high school graduation, with top divisions like ballet, tap, Jazz Pointe, Acrobatics, Pointe Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and much more. She won the top soloist at each of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
